Noreen Tseng of Tseng Accessories, a jewelry designer in Cebu, recently held a cocktail and buyer’s night for her trademark brass and steel fashion accessory line two weekends ago at Formo, Banilad Town Center Cebu. Part of the proceeds of the sales went to Glory Reborn, a non-profit maternity care clinic, and Cebu’s stylish people were present to ogle at the pieces that are already timeless and classic in a Cebuana’s wardrobe.

Noreen Tseng launched her first line in 2007 ago and her name has been a household name since. Now Tseng Accessories is almost on its third year. How exciting! Congrats Noreen and best wishes to you (Noreen Tseng got married last week)! Check out the photos from the Tseng Buyer’s Night by Dan Ong.

What I love about Noreen Tseng’s jewelry is that even she is hardly present online, you would know that her jewelry wouldn’t be dangling as some bazaar in the Metro selling only for P150 a piece because the design had been pirated. I remember my first feature on last year’s Penthouse Fashion Series where Noreen provided the accessories for Dino Lloren’s show. The pieces were gorgeous and stellar and when I asked her if she has anything online, Noreen said, “You can buy them directly from my store. Let me know if you wanna  go.” When asked why she doesn’t want to display them all online, she said ”All your hard work can just be copied by other people”

When you have a platerio all the way from Bulacan who can work with her intricate designs, I am sure Noreen Tseng won’t have a problem with copycats. “I dream about going global and have my pieces worn on the red carpet (laughs). I wanna make Tseng an international brand and someday bags and belts will soon materialize in my line but for now im concentrating on mastering the techniques of jewelry making since i still have alot of things to learn. Attitude-wise, confidence is key when wearing my jewelry. Some pieces are loud and obnoxious not for the people who want to just blend in with the crowd because for sure when you wear it people will notice you.”
